Free Legal Advice for the Creative Arts
The Hamilton Community Arts Council is pleased to launch a new scheme which offers free* legal advice related to the creative arts. In partnership with Tompkins Wake, the scheme offers those people involved in the arts the opportunity to meet with a lawyer to discuss legal issues related to their creative industry.
How do I access Legalised Art?
To access Legalised Art you need to be a member of the Hamilton Community Arts Council. Membership is only $5 - check out our membership page for all the perks.
What can I be consulted on?
Legalised Art is a preliminary consultation in the creative arts. Subjects may include -

Terms and Conditions
*The Legalised Art service is a free 30 minute initial consultation with a lawyer where members can obtain preliminary advice on legal matters related to the creative arts. The advice provided by the Legalised Art service is a preliminary identification of some of the legal issues and is intended only as introductory in nature. Where members require detailed legal advice it will be recommended that they instruct Tompkins Wake to provide that detailed legal advice in those situations.
