Ignition 2010 will take place 11th to 19th June 2010
Ignition will be offering a weird and wonderful showcase of upcoming and emerging artists. It will be another fantastic Hamilton event, creating a launch pad of creative ideas and an exciting environment for all audiences involved.
In this year’s festival audiences can expect a fantastic range of quirky event from street theatre, music, spoken word, comedy, film, visual arts and even a monster ball that will ignite the sense and spark creativity in everyone.

Description:
All Mutants, Misfits, Monsters and Freaks are cordially invited to attend an evening of malevelent mayhem. Grand finale of the Fringe, guests are encouraged to bedeck themselves in hideous monster glamour and swirl dementedly around the dance floor. The frightening formal occasion features maladjusted musik from Dr Krankensteins' Monster Orkestra, The Creeping Weasils, and The Amorphous Dusk. Gory supper provided.

Event Name: Cool Summer Tour with Cornerstone Roots

Description:
This is a documentary that takes a look behind the scenes of Cornerstone Roots during their recent summer tour. The trials and tribulations of travelling by air, sea, land. From Green Rooms to the venues of how the band members work together performing at different venues as well as keeping up with their daily routine of sleep, nutrition and performances.

Event Name: Nipper and Nudge eat Carrots

Description:
NIPPER AND NUDGE are two energetic kids who love to question, explore and figure things out all be themselves. Mum has told them they’ll have carrots for tea, but Nipper and Nudge don’t like carrots. Helped by the audience, they discover all sorts of carroty facts as they devise a plan to trick Mum, so they don’t have to EAT CARROTS.
The ignition launch and finale are not to be missed. The launch will be in Garden place at 12.30pm on Thursday 10 June, with a musical twist. All are welcome, bring an instrument.
The finale will be a ghoulish monster ball where hideous formal monster attire will be compulsory. In the lead up for this, Waltz classes will be provided as part of the Ignition programme.
